Getting Started

What is ExtractData?
ExtractData is a local business data extraction SaaS. You enter a zipcode and a business type (like restaurants or plumbers), and we return structured data including phone, address, website, ratings, emails, and social profiles — sourced from Google Places, Yelp, and business websites.
How do I get started?
Create a free account at extract-data.com/register.php. You can run 5 searches per day immediately — no credit card required. Upgrade to Pro or Agency any time from your dashboard.
Do I need technical skills?
No. ExtractData is a point-and-click web app. If you can use Google Maps, you can use ExtractData. There is no API integration required, no CSV templates to learn, no software to install.
What counts as a "search"?
One search = one combination of zipcode plus business type, returning up to 20 results on Free or 120 results on Pro/Agency. Free plan allows 5 searches per day. Pro and Agency have unlimited searches.
Can I use ExtractData on mobile?
Yes. The dashboard is fully responsive and works on phones and tablets. However, CSV export and large result sets are easier to work with on desktop.

Data & Accuracy

Where does the data come from?
ExtractData combines five sources: Google Places API, Yelp Fusion API, Outscraper (Pro tier), SerpAPI (Agency tier), Claude AI for insights, and our own first-party crawler that visits business websites for email extraction.
How accurate is the data?
Core fields (name, phone, address, rating) come directly from Google's Places API, so accuracy matches what you see on Google Maps — typically 95%+. Email extraction accuracy depends on what each business publishes on their website; expect roughly 60-70% of businesses with websites to yield a usable email.
How fresh is the data?
Every search hits the APIs in real time. You're seeing the same data Google and Yelp show right now, not a cached database from months ago.
What if a business has no website or email?
You'll still get phone, address, Google rating, and Yelp data. Businesses without websites are flagged — which is actually useful for web designers looking for exactly those prospects.
Can I search by city or state instead of zipcode?
Currently ExtractData is zipcode-first because it gives the tightest, most predictable geographic targeting. City and multi-zipcode search is on the roadmap — email us if this is blocking you.

Plans & Pricing

How much does ExtractData cost?
Three plans: Free ($0/month, 5 searches/day), Pro ($29/month, unlimited searches plus email extraction and AI tools), and Agency ($79/month, adds SerpAPI intelligence and AI market reports). Annual plans save 20%.
Is there a free trial?
Pro and Agency plans include a 7-day free trial with full access. The Free plan requires no credit card and has no expiration.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your dashboard with one click. You retain access until the end of your current billing period, then roll back to the Free plan automatically.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid month. Email hello@extract-data.com and we'll process a full refund, no questions asked.
What's the difference between Pro and Agency?
Pro covers 99% of freelancers and small teams — unlimited searches, email extraction, AI cold email writer, Outscraper enrichment. Agency adds SerpAPI local pack rankings, AI market reports for client presentations, AI phone pitch scripts, and unlimited Outscraper enrichment.

Privacy & Legal

Is it legal to extract business data?
Yes. ExtractData only surfaces publicly available information about businesses — not consumer PII. US court precedent (hiQ Labs v. LinkedIn 2022, Meta v. Bright Data 2024) has repeatedly upheld that extracting publicly available data is legal.
Do you scrape data illegally?
No. Our pipeline uses official, paid API access to Google Places, Yelp Fusion, Outscraper, and SerpAPI. We do not scrape Google Maps or Yelp in ways that violate their terms of service.
What about GDPR and privacy laws?
ExtractData returns business contact information — names, phone numbers, and emails that businesses have published publicly for commercial purposes. This is categorized as legitimate interest processing under GDPR. We recommend CAN-SPAM and GDPR-compliant outreach practices when using extracted emails.
Do you store the data I extract?
Only what you explicitly save to your lead lists. Searches themselves are logged for rate-limit accounting but the results are not retained unless you save them.
Can businesses opt out of being in ExtractData?
Since we pull directly from Google and Yelp in real time, a business can update or remove their listing on those platforms and it will propagate immediately. We do not maintain a separate business database that can be out of sync.
